Cider Under $15
The Ciderie St. Nicholas, Southeast of Quebec City, has been "exporting"
their innovative artisanal ciders to Ontario for a few years, but the Pom'Or
Tradition (Non-Vintage, $12.95, LCBO#
179473) is getting rave reviews for its crisp, dry
refreshing taste... it tastes like, um, apples! (Maybe more
like green ones.) It has a lovely fine mousse and carries a
light alcohol by volume at just 7%. When it's very hot, it's
tempting to drink quickly from a cold glass of wine, so The
Pom d'Or is a lovely aperitif and start to an evening, or as
a dessert wine to end of a long Sunday lunch.
